Guide elements guide the pistons and piston rods within the cylinder, absorb lateral forces, and prevent direct metal-to-metal contact between the moving components. In addition to their guiding function, guide elements ensure smooth motion and relieve the seals of lateral loads.
Various fabric composite materials (some with added lubricants), PTFE compounds, POM
Maximum diameter range depending on the material (ring: 5–550 mm, spirals: 20–400 mm, rolls: up to 3,000 mm)
Ready-to-install guide ring/slotted, Piston and rod guide ring, coil/spiral (sold by the meter, up to 10 m)
Required mechanical load and surface pressure, friction and sliding properties, wear resistance.
Wipers prevent dirt, dust, moisture, chips, or other foreign particles from entering the cylinder when the piston rod retracts. In this way, they protect the sealing systems and internal components from premature wear and damage.
NBR/NBR-metal, FPM/FPM-metal/stainless steel, PTFE, Polyurethane/PU-metal
Maximum diameter range depending on design and material
Single-acting/double-acting, for enclosed and open installation spaces
Unpressurized to low pressure
Rod seals are used to reliably seal hydraulic cylinders at the rod end. The seals dynamically seal against the cylinder rod, thereby preventing hydraulic fluid from leaking. Due to various seal profiles and a wide range of materials, rod seals can be optimally adapted to different applications and offer the advantages of low friction, a compact design, and easy installation.
NBR/FPM, PTFE, Polyurethane
Maximum diameter range depending on design and material
Primarily single-acting, with double-acting versions available in exceptional cases; optional back-up rings/guide rings; for enclosed and open installation spaces
Depending on the desired design and the material used, from non-pressurized to high-pressure hydraulics
Piston seals seal the piston inside the hydraulic cylinder and prevent hydraulic fluid from flowing from the piston head side to the piston rod side, and vice versa, from the pressure side to the opposite side of the piston.
NBR/FPM, PTFE, UHMWPE, Polyurethane
Maximum diameter range depending on design and material
Single-acting/double-acting, optional back-up rings/guide rings, for enclosed and open mounting spaces
Depending on the desired design and the material used, from non-pressurized to high-pressure hydraulics
Static sealing elements are typically used to seal permanently joined components that do not move relative to one another during operation. They prevent hydraulic fluid from leaking at fixed joints and foreign media from entering the system.
NBR/FPM, Polyurethane, Metal
Maximum diameter range depending on the material
USIT O-rings / NBR-metal, copper rings, flange gaskets, X-rings
Depending on the desired design and the material used, from non-pressurized to high-pressure hydraulics
Back-up rings prevent the sealing material from entering the sealing gap under high pressure loads. Back-up rings close any potential extrusion gap and support the sealing without restricting the required flexibility and sealing performance.
NBR/FPM, PTFE compounds/STM, virgin PTFE, PU/TPE/POM
Maximum diameter range depending on design and material
Endless, slotted, concave, spiral-shaped
Depending on the material, from non-pressurized to high-pressure hydraulics
Rotary seals are used in applications where rotating or swiveling shafts must be reliably sealed against a pressurized medium or the surrounding environment. Rotary seals are specifically designed for rotational motion.
NBR/FPM, PTFE, Polyurethane, specialty materials
Depending on the desired design and the material used
Maximum diameter range depending on design and material
For dynamic applications involving compressed air, high speeds, and rotating or reciprocating motions. Our product line includes rod seals, piston seals, and scraper seals, as well as guide rings and cushioning seals, for both standard and custom applications.
NBR/FPM, PTFE compounds, PU/POM
Maximum diameter range depending on design and material
Rod & piston seals, wipers
Depending on the desired design and the material used
In hydraulic and mechanical applications, bushings and bearings guide, support, and bear the load of moving components. They reduce friction, prevent direct metal-to-metal contact, and help minimize wear and downtime.
Cylindrical, with or without a collar, optional lubrication pockets, flanged bearings / segmented bearings / spherical bearings
Load, speed, temperature, lubrication, medium, maintenance-free, service life
Composite materials, synthetic steel, hardened steel, bronze / with or without added lubricant / rolled or solid / sintered
